“I am honored to have this opportunity to represent New Jersey and to work with leaders across the country to advance and promote the arts as an essential public benefit,” said Herbert. “The staff at NASAA provides strategic assistance and visionary leadership that helps all of us meet our individual and collective goals, and I look forward to being actively engaged in all that NASAA does and addressing the needs of state arts agencies nationwide.”
NASAA works at the national, state and local levels to empower State Arts Agencies to help ensure their greatest positive impact in promoting the arts to help address issues such as increasing the economic and cultural well-being of our communities; securing quality education that includes the arts for every child; recognizing and celebrating diversity; and positioning the nation’s artists and arts organizations as key partners in advancing the public benefits the arts provide.

She’s passionate, dedicated and highly professional – a true leader – and we enthusiastically welcome her to the NASAA team.”
